Review Process

The review process of the Journal of Service Management Research is based on a structured double-blind peer review system involving at least two independent reviewers. After submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening to ensure alignment with the journal’s scope and quality standards; submissions that do not meet these criteria are rejected at this stage.

Manuscripts that pass the screening are evaluated by reviewers who provide constructive feedback with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary relevance as well as theoretical and practical contributions. An initial decision is typically reached within approximately 60 days, and the process allows for a maximum of two review rounds, during which authors revise and resubmit their work based on the reviewers’ comments.

The process concludes with a final editorial decision—either acceptance or rejection—based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of the revised submission. For a detailed overview of the process, please refer to the following document: Review Process
